Meet Dr. Todd M. Retell

Dr. Retell graduated from Starpoint Central High School in 1980. He then enrolled at the University of Rochester and received a B.S. in Neuroscience with Highest Distinction in 1984. He continued on to receive a D.D.S. in Dentistry in 1988 while attending S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. He practices all phases of General Dentistry and has been extensively educated in aesthetic dentistry (including Botox, whitening, bonding, and porcelain veneers), sleep apnea, and sedation dentistry. Dr. Retell resides with his wife Sandra and sons Corey and Connor in Lockport. His interests include most sports (especially golf), music and his family.

Meet Dr. James M. Shaw

Dr. Shaw is a lifelong resident of Lockport. He graduated from DeSales High School in 1972 and completed his undergraduate training at Canisius College. Dr. Shaw graduated Magna Cum Laude from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine in 1980 and completed a general practice residency at Veteran’s Hospital in Buffalo the following year. Dr. Shaw’s post-graduate training included extensive courses in implant dentistry. He currently is the dental consultant for Niagara Hospice and Lockport Rehab and Health Care Center. Dr. Shaw resides in Lockport with his wife Julia. He has two children, Luke and Eilise, and two step children, Hannah and Sarah. Dr. Shaw hopes to see the Buffalo Bills win a Super Bowl in his lifetime.

Meet Dr. Matthew Giangreco

Dr. Giangreco was born in Buffalo and is a graduate of Williamsville East High School and Canisius College. He earned his Master’s degree in Biological Sciences at UB and completed his dental training at UB’s School of Dental Medicine in 2024. He completed his General Practice Residency at ECMC. He is a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan and enjoys theatre, cooking, and traveling with his wife Kathryn.

Dr. Ron Kaminer is a 1990 graduate of the State University of NY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After completing a two year post graduate residency at North Shore University Hospital, Dr. Kaminer started practicing in Lawrence, where he practiced for over 12 years before moving to his state-of-the-art Hewlett location.

Dr. Kaminer was one of the first 100 dentists in the U.S in 1993 to use a hard tissue laser in his practice. Since then, Dr. Kaminer went on to create training courses for numerous Dental laser companies and is considered to be an international laser expert by his peers. He is a clinical consultant for many manufacturers and is an associate editor for the Dental Product Shopper magazine. He does all this while practicing an average of 42 hours per week.

Dr. Klein achieves clinical excellence in restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry for patients of all ages. She is an avid user of both digital and laser technology to help improve the dental and oral health of her patients. Dr.Klein is Invisalign certified and can provide minor tooth movement through clear aligners to help create the perfect smile.

Dr. Klein has been praised by her patients for her gentle touch and pleasant disposition. She believes that it is important to take the time to listen to her patients and ensure that they feel comfortable and relaxed in the dental chair.

D.D.S - Prosthodontist
Dr. Esther Penn is passionate about changing lives through meticulous comprehensive Dental care. After graduating SUNY @ Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Dr Penn completed a one-year general practice residency at Long Island Jewish medical center. In a desire to pursue a degree in Prosthodontics, Dr Penn continued her studies at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. After receiving her Prosthodontic degree, Dr. Penn stayed on at the V.A. for a second specialty degree in Maxillo- facial Prosthetics. This program offered her advanced training and clinical expertise in all aspects of full mouth rehabilitation and implant Dentistry while mastering the art of complete prosthodontic care.
